Software was developed a number of years ago which allows the IR camera in a Wiimote to be used to track an LED pen and produce lines onto a projected computer screen (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgKCrGvShZs for a nice demonstration of the technology). This technology has been incorporated into a chemistry classroom using a mobile cart and a netbook computer for a total cost of around $350. The incorporation of this technology will be discussed, along with some of the available resources to help getting started in its use.
