Dedicated courses in nanoscience may not be practical for every chemistry department; however, enriching traditional chemistry courses with nanoscience may be an option. In this presentation, options for integrating standard topics with experiments in nanoscience will be discussed. By using published experiments, courses in Thermodynamics & Kinetics and Inorganic Chemistry can tackle the content required of the subdisciplines while employing nanoparticle systems to illustrate the content. In this way, students are exposed to experimental work in nanoscience while completing their regular coursework in chemistry.
